In this piece I was having fun with color and design. I also wanted to play with the overlap of shapes and transparency. Hopefully I can find more time to do more of this. It was fun not to be tied down to too much reference and just paint.

 

  A baby mural painted for little Josephine born on March 7, 2007!  Daniel and Robert painted it last year, before she was born, in the nursery of her parents’ house.  There is a socket in the bottom middle of the painting that can help to indicate the size of the painting.  The subject of the mural came from her father’s love for old hot rods and cars. 

Here’s some character studies that I did for a friend. I’ll probably do some more of these kind of studies soon.
